Hello, friends!
I am 39 weeks pregnant and all baby. I am due September 14th but I anticipate the halfpence’s arrival to fall late in the month (around the 25th). I predict that he will be weigh upwards of 10 pounds, which would equal half of my total birth weight gain. Which is totally insane.
I am as sure of these things as I was that he was a boy.
If I can manage some decent photos (showering, makeup, removing my robe…none are all that appealing these days) I promise to share :-)
Things have been a bit stressful these past few weeks. My father was diagnosed with cancer about a week and a half ago. I don’t want to get into details; however, while the news was a shock and it’s taken some time to sink in, the (relative) good news is that it was caught very early and it’s very treatable.
I moved back into the house a few weeks ago, and our kitchen, nursery and office are…mostly complete. It’s been very busy and I’ve been running myself into the ground a bit, so I’ve been trying to slow down. Todd has been working hard to wrap up the remodel and I’ve made the commitment to chill a bit until I go into labor. Today I spent some time getting to know our new camera, which Todd’s parents generously gave us last weekend during our shower. I’m sharing a few teaser photos of the new rooms, and I look forward to sharing them in their fully-completed glory!

Hi! It’s great to hear from you… and aside from a couple of things (so sorry to hear about your Dad) it does sound like you’re doing well!

I’m so sorry to hear about your dad, doll. But glad to hear that they caught it and it’s treatable. I’m thinking of you. How stressful with everything else going on. Hang in there, just a few more weeks to go!

when it rains it pours! Lots of love to your fam. I’m glad the prognosis is good. But what a stress. My own prediction is you will give birth before the 21 (I see you with a Virgo, although a Libra makes sense with all the art and style!) and no more than 9 and a half pounds. God willing! You’re a trooper.

Oh Penny I am SO sorry to hear about your father. I’m telegraphing positive energy your family’s way. I’m glad it’s considered treatable, there is so much they can do nowadays.
