I’ve mentioned Luxirare in passing (I still haven’t made those amazing-looking pie pops) but it goes without saying that it’s one of the most phenomenal blogs on the web. The anonymous proprietor/photographer/maker of all things awesome is a graduate of Parsons who whips up unbelievable food and fashion. Her take on luxury is that it must not depend on “mass production or a ‘high’ price tag,” but rather the “time and thinking it takes to create” product.
While her manifesto is appealing, it’s really her amazing photography that makes me swoon. Even when she snaps photos of food while out eating, it looks 10 times more heavenly than the photography from any other food blogger I’ve seen. And when she does shoot her own food, it’s so highly stylized that it makes me suspicious that she’s not behind the photography in the Fat Duck Cookbook. Her photo-heavy pages take some time to load, but it’s worth the wait. Because you’re treated to photos like these:

She has recently opened an e-shop, selling both her creations and vintage pieces (well, officially, most appear to be used item, not vintage).

Beige fur tail, $70; consolidated bracelet, $95 (sold out) & white leather purse, $700; silver candelabra, $55;patchwork mini skirt, $75; Christopher Kane snakeskin dress, $3000; spike earrings, $55; Sergio Rossi pumps, $275; Balenciaga purse, $390;
All photos pulled from the Luxirare site.

Everything she does is spectacular. You should see the studded jacket she is working on – it’s to die for.
