Amy Adams in Carolina Herrera – Perfectly lovely. Golden Globes and pregnancy-appropriate. I loved the cocktail-length dresses of the evening. The deep, deep emerald color looked great with her coloring, and while I was not crazy about the ombré effect of her purse/shoes, she did accessorize beautifully.

Anna Paquin in Stella McCartney – This may be a bit Dynasty for some, but I thought the silhouette was fabulous on her figure (I love deep cuts with little boobs).

Chloe Sevigny in Valentino – I love Sevigny because she’s typically a red carpet risk-taker. This was a relatively tame look for her, but I loved the construction and I thought it was the best example of the ruffled trend that dominated the red carpet.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Vionnet – She (or her stylist) always gets it right. Love the color, love her haircut.

January Jones in Lanvin – Not popular with some, but I was really digging the headband. She sometimes tries a little to hard to veer away from her Mad Men character, but I thought this look was quite becoming.

Rose Bryne in Lanvin – I adored her hair style and the use of the bejewled brooches. The color was gorgeous.

Julia Roberts in vintage YSL – Perfection.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in RM by Roland Mouret – One of my favorite dresses of the night. I even loved the color.

Meryl Streep – I have no idea who she is wearing (anyone?) but she looked like she belonged barefoot in Siena, drinking wine and dancing with the locals. Perfectly chic and age-appropriate.

Mo’Nique in Reem Acra – Lovely draping, very flattering, and the back was fantastic.
Her speech, the first of the night, was to die for.

I believe that Meryl Streep is wearing a dress designed by Chris March (from Project Runway). I read that on the Project Rungay website…
You can’t even tell that Amy Adams is pregnant in that dress. Its gorgeous
Love Ginnifer Goodwin – ever consider a pixie haircut like hers? I bet it would look super cute on you. ;)
I loveloveloved Chloe Sevigny’s dress! I really admire people that can pull off high fashion looks w/out looking like they’re trying to hard in way that just makes them look weird for fashion’s sake. Did you see when the usher stepped on her dress? I squealed at the same time she did but I’m a total spaz like that and probably wouldn’t have fallen too while Chloe managed to hold her center of gravity. I like Maggie G’s dress but- I would have loooved it w/out the mermaid hem. The color is fantastic though.
Did you see Mo’Nique from the red carpet, when she lifted the dress? The woman seems to be very anti-leg shaving, which I don’t get. I was thrilled to see that the dress was actually floor length.
My favorites of the night were Zoe Saldana (Louis Vuitton) and Emily Blunt (D&G, I believe). Gorgeous, both of them.
