I’ve been tossing around an idea and I’d like to get some feedback from all of you. I’ve sold things here and there on eBay for years (mostly clothing) and I am so tired of the site. I’ve been looking for alternatives and found it to be a difficult endeavor.
I love offering items up on my blog, and would like to provide others with the same opportunity (in the same vein as Lulu & Your Mom). I haven’t hassed out details such as policies and fees–I wanted to hear from those of you who may be interested.
If so, let me know in the comments and please share any ideas OR eBay alternatives (etsy only allows vintage clothing to be sold, I discovered).
xoxo

I tend to go and check the ‘laws of general economy’ blog (thegeneraleconomy.blogspot.com) which is a bit like LAYM but with less of a profit motive. It was started by Erica as an alternative to Ebay. Another is shopmycloset.blogspot.com which has been a favorite for years.
: ) this sounds like a fun endeavor, hope it works out!
Hey! Glad to see you are back to posting. Hope you had a great new year/ holiday.
As far as the sales go, I like the way that you do it here on the site (I’m not a big fan of ebay either) but I understand that you have to do what is best/easier for you.
On another note- the items under Luxe Sales- are those sold? Cuz I like those black J.Crew heels…. Let me know!
Hi Emily,
Nope, nothing is sold at the moment, they just went up. I will make sure to clear things up.
Shoot me an email if you’re interested.
I’d be interested and sell at a local consignment shop here in Portland but if you had something up and running I would totally send stuff your way. :)
A lot of bloggers sell their clothing on Etsy, how do they get away with it? But regardless, color me in the interested camp. I bought a J. Crew cardigan from you and wore it very often in the fall, you have great taste and I’d love to purchase more!
