The Best Of 2010 Resort { Get Away }

by Penny on June 11, 2009

Oh.  My.  God.  So much pretty!  My favorites thus far are below and after the jump.

3.1 Phillip Lim – Amazing separates, luxe/casual fabrication pairings, lovely mid-calf tulip skirts….I pretty much want it all.

Alexander Wang – Pretty romantic all-around for Wang and very sportswear-oriented; I am digging it.

Burberry – Unbelievable!  Very reminiscent of the S/S RTW collection, with loads of belted trenches, pleated rolled trousers, uber-slim blazers and floating, pleated separates.

Doo.Ri – Super comfy, super casual, super pretty.  Pretty much what I want to wear on vacation.

Jason Wu – Trés Wu.  Great pops of color, lovely dresses.

Marc Jacobs – How does he do it?  Jacobs provides women with a constant stream of awesomeness, and resort ’10 was no exception.  I love the boatneck striped tops paired with deco-esque prints straight out of late 30′s Hollywood.  And the party dresses are some of the best of the season.  It was a welcome collection after the fall spread that I, personally, was not too fond of.

Prada – Exactly what Prada’s customer would want for vacation.  Fantastic color palettes, scarf prints fashioned as skirts, those classic two-toned Prada sweaters.

Stella McCartney – McCartney’s collection felt very…..NYE.  And I loved it!  Also, Anouck Lepére is one of my favorite models.  I’m really into how they shot the collection as well, it’s so fun.  Adorable dresses and some cute jumpsuits (that I could never get away with).  A little bit of Grecian, a little bit of late 70′s — I don’t even know what to make of this grouping, except that I want every last piece.  Seriously?  The cutest collection EVER.

I love all the stripes!! Hooray – can’t wait to see these collections live. Especially digging the Marc Jacobs boatneck tops and the Stella dress with the puffed sleeves.

I love resort collections. I tend to like the clothes in them more than the regular collections
