Luxe Inspiration – Attic Bathrooms

by Penny on March 27, 2009

What’s inspiring me today.

Attic bathrooms.

Photos: Apartment Therapy

When I saw these photographs, I immediately wanted to transport myself into these warm, sunlit and (most importantly) tucked away bathrooms.  I could easily spend all day in a great bathroom…..taking baths, reading books, giving myself a facial, drinking wine….

Then again, anything is a step up from our bathroom, which is TINY and seems to always have a thin coat of pet hair on the floor.  It’s what I hate most about having animals in the house.

Gawd, those are fabulous! I’m with you on the nice, bright, big bathrooms, Penny. One of my goals in life is to someday have a large jacuzzi tub in my boudoir bathroom. Or even a nice, big claw-footed tub that’s large enough in which to completely immerse oneself. It just feels so…luxurious.

Gah. Now you’ve got me wanting to escape to a fabulous spa somewhere…

I know exactly what you mean about pet hair. It’s everywhere in my place. I have to vacuum almost every day!

My dog Jeffrey is the worst with the hair. If we give him a bath during the winter its always in the bathroom and he shakes literally coating the walls with black hair.

I LOVE these bathrooms. I think because for awhile I have had bathrooms that do not have any windows I dream about a bright airy bathroom like these

We have pet hair and now, baby accessories, all over the little bathroom with the bath in it…daddy and baby rubber duck, plastic books, the works. Then the other bathroom has a shower that is smaller than a phone booth. And the size and placement of the windows scream jail cell. I dream of a spa-like bathroom every single bloody day.
